On this date, 13 July 2007, Barry Gordon Hadlow A.K.A The Carbon Copy Killer who was a pedophile died in a Brisbane Hospital in Queensland, Australia. I will post information about this unrepentant pedophile from several news sources and also from Paul B. Kidd’s book, ‘Never To Be Released’ before giving my comments.

Pedophile murderer Hadlow dies

NOTORIOUS child killer Barry Gordon Hadlow - who was
convicted twice of murder - has died in a Brisbane hospital.
The
65-year-old was admitted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital just after 7pm
(AEST) yesterday after complaining of shortness of breath and chest pains.
He
died a few hours later at 10.45pm (AEST).
The
convicted killer had been jailed at the maximum security Wolston Correctional
Centre where he was serving a life sentence for the abduction, sexual assault
and murder of nine-year-old Stacey-Ann Tracy in Roma, west of Brisbane, in
1990.
Hadlow
killed her while on parole for the identical murder of five-year-old Sandra
Dorothy Bacon in Townsville, in Queensland's far north, in 1962.
He
was released on parole in 1985 after serving 23 years for the first murder.
In
both cases, Hadlow had helped police search for the missing bodies.
Corrective
Services spokesman Ross McSwain said Hadlow's death would be investigated.
However,
he said there was nothing suspicious about the death.
"There
is nothing (suspicious)," Mr McSwain said.
"We
investigate every death in custody."
Hadlow's
body will be released to his next of kin after the investigation.
Hadlow
was listed as one of Australia's most dangerous convicts, with his trial judge
recommending that his papers be stamped with NTBR - never to be released.

MY
THOUGHTS:
Barry
Hadlow was another great example of a recidivist murderer. In this case, he
murdered a girl and was paroled to murder another girl again. It was not fair
to the victims and their families that he got protective custody, where he
would be protected from other violent inmates in prison.
The
reason why he won his parole was because he was a model prisoner and a devout Christian.
That is why I totally denounce the idea that those Anti-Death Penalty
Christians claim that all murderers can be truly reformed. Barry Hadlow was a
perfect example that redemption and rehabilitation are not always true. He was
not the only killer who was released due to good behaviour and ‘devout’ Christian,
there are many others too.
When
he was at his trial for the second murder, he unleashed his venom by snarling:
“It’s the greatest travesty of justice since Christ was crucified on the cross. He was crucified with lies too… You couldn’t lie straight in bed you bastard.”And to the police and warders present he shrieked: “They’ll get theirs. Lying dogs. Their lies will bring them down.”
Devout
Christian? How can one who played Christian in prison say such a thing? If he
was truly remorseful, he would not have committed another murder when he was
released. Anyway, since he was not hung for the first murder, another innocent
life was lost. Since he is dead now, he will never have advantage of life over
death of his victims.
A
Victims’ Rights Activist once said: "Of
course there’s nothing like permanent rehabilitation on the end of a
rope."
Spot on! How True! For
some murderers, there is nothing you can do to rehabilitate them.
