WHAT IF ADOLF HITLER WAS EXECUTED IN TEXAS? (SEPTEMBER 21, 2011)

On this date, September 21, 2011, an African American by the name of Troy Davis who murdered a White American Police Officer, Mark MacPhail and a White Supremacist named Lawrence Brewer who murdered an African American man, James Byrd Jr. were both executed by lethal injection in the U.S State of Georgia and Texas respectively. I blogged about them last year on the date the two executions occurred.

I would like to write a rebuttal essay to Comedian Dick Gregory’s words when he protested Lawrence Brewer’s execution.

"Any state killing is wrong," he said. "If Adolf Hitler were to be executed, I would be here to protest … I believe life in prison is punishment. Execution is revenge."

A headline in the U.S. Army newspaper Stars and Stripes announcing Hitler's death.
Please see this video to hear what Dick Gregory said. (SOURCE: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=se7FStbDOgw):

I was disturbed and I could not (at first) believe what I had heard that Dick Gregory would protest even if The Fuhrer were to be executed. I never heard any abolitionist cry over the Nazi War Criminals when they were hanged after World War II. Gregory’s statement on Hitler made me felt so flabbergasted.

As we all know that Adolf Hitler had committed suicide on 30 April 1945, thus he could not be sentenced to death for his war crimes. The late British Prime Minister, Winston Churchill, noted at a Cabinet meeting in December 1942:

"Contemplate that if Hitler falls into our hands we shall certainly put him to death. This man is the mainspring of evil. Instrument — electric chair, for gangsters, no doubt available on lease-lend'.”

Lawrence Brewer was a Neo Nazi who was put to death for the murder of an African American man. For Dick Gregory to say that he would protest Hitler’s execution, is as good (obviously) as saying that he would protest any Neo Nazi’s execution. Life in prison is punishment, Execution is revenge? NO WAY! I do not buy that at all. How can he approve of a murderer being allowed to keep his own life when he has taken another? Immanuel Kant will answer that for sure.

All killing is wrong? Why not Dick Gregory protest against abortion, where the innocent unborn are all being killed? Is Dick Gregory a Pacifist? He should protest every war, including a defensive war. If Gregory had got the U.S government to say that all killing was wrong during World War II, innocent people in America would be gassed to death every day because the State refused to protect their country against Nazi Germany.

English: Adolf Hitler delivers a speech at the Kroll Opera House to the men of the Reichstag on the subject of Roosevelt and the war in the Pacific, declaring war on the United States. Next to Hitler in the government benches (from right to left) are Joachim von Ribbentrop, Erich Raeder, Walther von Brauchitsch, Wilhelm Keitel, Wilhelm Frick and Joseph Goebbels. In the second row (from right to left) are Lutz Graf Schwerin von Krosigk, Walther Funk, Richard Walther Darré, Bernhard Rust, Hanns Kerrl, Hans Frank, Julius Dorpmüller, Arthur Seyss-Inquart and Fritz Todt. In the third row (from right to left) are Alfred Rosenberg, Otto Meißner and Johannes Popitz. (11 December 1941)
If Adolf Hitler was tried under Texas Law, he would definitely be put to death, as he had committed First Degree Murder. I suspect that no abolitionist will cry even if Hitler were to be executed in Texas. If Dick Gregory claims that all killing is wrong, why did he not protest against Osama Bin Laden’s assassination on May 2, 2011?
